A Year of Growth and Impact at Greer Relief
Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters,
As 2024 draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible progress, partnerships, and perseverance that have defined this year for Greer Relief. Together, we have continued to uplift our neighbors, strengthen our programs, and deepen our commitment to creating a thriving community where every individual has the opportunity to prosper.
A Year of Growth and Impact

This year marked a monumental milestone as we moved into our new home and celebrated the Grand Opening of the Indigo Hope Neighborhood Impact Center (NIC), at 113C Berry Ave. The Indigo Hope NIC has quickly become a beacon of hope and empowerment, enabling us to expand our reach and improve access to essential services. From the ribbon-cutting ceremony in September to the daily impact made possible by our dedicated staff and volunteers, this space symbolizes our shared mission of neighbors helping neighbors. We expanded our services and partnerships, deepening the depth of services available to our neighbors. Adding the Forrester Center for Behavioral Health, It Does Take A Village, and Alston Wilkes Society to the Center offerings.
Our programs have grown in both reach and impact. Through RENEW, our life-skills and education program, we empowered families and individuals with the tools for lasting self-sufficiency. For the first time, our cooking classes welcomed children to participate alongside their parents, fostering connection and practical skills for the whole family.
As part of the RENEW Program, in partnership with Children’s Trust and It Does Take A Village, we launched an enhanced implementation of Triple P (Positive Parenting Program). With Nita Williams leading the way as our Triple P Practitioner Lead, this evidence-based program has provided families with vital tools for positive parenting, strengthening bonds and nurturing healthier, happier homes.
Volunteers and Partners: The Heart of Our Work
None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers and community partners. This year, we expanded the volunteer program, ensuring that volunteers could find meaningful ways to contribute as they suit—whether serving in the Choice Pantry, accepting donations, working as VITA Volunteers, RENEW Educators, RENEW Christmas Morning Shoppe elves, or as Indigo Hope NIC Greeters. The spirit of service that fuels our organization is truly inspiring.

We also forged new relationships and strengthened existing partnerships, from local schools and faith-based organizations to strategic collaborations like FAVOR, which continues to fill a critical gap in substance abuse support. The power of partnership is evident in every program we deliver and every life we touch.
Looking back, these milestones remind us of the strength of community, the power of collaboration, and the shared vision we work toward every day. Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright, hope-filled new year!
With gratitude and hope,

Caroline Robertson
