Overcoming Challenges & Celebrating Resilience: A Look Back at 2024
Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters,
As I have been reflecting on the growth and impact we experienced in 2024, I find myself reflecting on the moments that tested us as a community. Yet, through every challenge, it was our resilience, compassion, and collective spirit that shone brightest. Among those moments, Hurricane Helene stands out as both a challenge and a triumph of collective action.
Moments of Crisis: Responding to Hurricane Helene

In September, our community was tested when Hurricane Helene brought devastation to the Upstate. Families faced unprecedented challenges as homes were damaged, jobs disrupted, and basic necessities became scarce.
Greer Relief stepped up, becoming a hub for disaster assistance—providing emergency food, supplies, and support to neighbors in need. Through the generosity of our partners and donors, we mobilized quickly, ensuring no family was left without help or hope. The resilience displayed by our community during this time was a true testament to the power of neighbors helping neighbors.
Moments of Resilience and Celebration

Amidst the challenges our community faces, we saw countless moments of resilience and hope. From pantry shelves being filled to neighbors finding employment, housing stability, and new purpose, the stories we witnessed this year remind us of the profound difference we can make when we work together.
We celebrated the dedication of our team with milestones like Yvonne Thompson’s promotion to Director of Mission Impact and the addition of Tom Condor, Phil Collins, Robert Hunter, and many others who have strengthened our ability to meet the growing needs of our community.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we turn toward the new year, our focus remains steadfast: to uplift, empower, and inspire. We will continue to expand our impact through innovative programming, compassionate support, and the development of partnerships that create lasting change.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of the Greer Relief family. Whether you donated, volunteered, or partnered with us, your support is the foundation of our success. Together, we are creating a future where neighbors help neighbors, and lives are transformed.
Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright, hope-filled new year!
With gratitude and hope,

Caroline Robertson
