Uncontrolled blood pressure, also called Hypertension, is a medical condition that affects majority of people. According to Center for Disease Control and Prevention, having hypertension puts you at risk for heart disease and stroke, which are leading causes of death in the United States. In addition to taking medication there are things you can do to help control your blood pressure better. Hypertension can also be prevented if you start making changes early. About the instructor: I am a Family Physician and Lifestyle Medicine-Certified Physician working at the Center for Family Medicine Residency Program here in Greer. I also volunteer at the Greer free clinic and Greer Relief. I have been living here in Greer for the last 3 years.
